The weekend before last I went to Barcelona Zoo with Mummy, Daddy and all the children from my nursery school (and their Mummies and Daddies). It was excellent. Brilliant. Fantastic.
We left at nine o’clock and travelled to Barcelona on a coach which I really liked because we sat in the front. I have never seen so much from a moving vehicle as I’m normally stuck in my car seat in the back.
We got to the zoo at about 11:30 and from the start I loved it. The zoo is in the city and is very well laid out; there are lots of animals to see but in a relatively small area so there wasn’t as much walking (or pushing of pushchairs) as there could have been although there was a feeling of space with lots of seating and eating areas.
We spent all day looking at the animals (although I missed the bird bit because I was having a nap). Every animal that you would expect to see were on display, with information boards explaining habitat, feeding and such. My absolute favourites were the chimpanzees, lions and dolphins.
We left at five o’clock in the afternoon and again sat in the front of the coach. Not only could I see lots of interesting things on the journey I was also able to throw my teddy at the driver! What fun. What a great day out.
Until next time, bye bye.

A couple of weeks ago we had fish fingers for dinner. Daddy wanted to find another way to get fish inside me (I like tuna but that’s about it) and so thought that fish fingers would do the trick. Boy was he right; I loved them! I had six or seven of the golden beauties and finished dinner full and happy.
The following day Mummy noticed some spots on my arms and chest. A quick search on Google of the symptoms led her to believe that I had heat rash. It was hot, I had spots on my arms and chest only, I didn’t had a fever so heat rash I had. I was put into cooler clothes and carried on with my morning.
By the next nappy change the spots had gotten worse and were now on my legs. Heat rash doesn’t cause spots on the legs so it was off to the clinic as Mummy and Daddy didn’t want to take any chances and instinct was saying “Doctor”.
It was a bank holiday here in Spain and I’ve got to tell you the service was excellent. The medical centre was open for a start, there was only one person ahead of us at reception and we were called in to see the doctor even before we had a chance to sit down to wait. The doctor was very nice. He had a look at me and had a few questions for Mummy and Daddy and very quickly made his diagnosis. You guessed it. A food allergy. To fish fingers!
A three day course of antihistamines soon sorted the reaction out and I was back to my normal self although I have to say that I didn’t notice any problems or suffer any discomfort. I have to have an allergy test soon as my baby doctor explained that the first allergic reaction often doesn’t cause major problems but subsequent reactions might.
We learnt three things from this episode: Looking on the Internet doesn’t always give the right answer, if in doubt see the doctor and fish fingers are off the menu!
Until next time, bye bye.

Someone at nursery is biting me!
Friday they bit my cheek and yesterday they bit my nose.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Mummy’s got my teachers tracking down the culprit. If I could understand everything everyone says to me I could tell them who it is, but unfortunately I can’t. Sigh.
Until next time, bite bite

The day before yesterday Mummy was picking me up from nursery. While she was putting my coat on I pointed (I haven’t yet learned that it’s not polite to point) to a man and said, ‘Tilly Farfar!’ (Remember that Tilly Farfar is what I call my girlfriend Mathilda’s grandfather because I’m part Danish and he’s her father’s father.)
Then, later that night, while I was falling asleep in Mummy’s arms and she was watching TV, I looked up, pointed to one of the people on the screen and said, ‘Tilly Farfar!’
Mummy says that she can see the resemblance and both she and Daddy are very impressed at how good I am at remembering people. After all, I don’t see my girlfriend’s grandfather very often. Hopefully when I see him again I will point (time enough later to learn I shouldn’t do that) and say, ‘Tilly Farfar!’
Until next time, bye bye

I’m ill. I’ve had a fever, I’m tired and off my food. I’ve also got a rash.
The doctor says that I have got Roseola, and an ear infection!
I’m far too unhappy to write more.
Until next time, bye bye.

Today is my girlfriend’s second birthday so Happy Birthday Tilly! There’s a little present waiting for you here and I’ll give it to your grandma and granddad when they next come up.
I haven’t seen Matilda for quite a while but fortunately I have photos to look at (I like looking at photos). Every time I see a photo of Matilda’s granddad I say “Tilly Farfar” so obviously my future grandfather-in-law has made an impression!
Hope you have a good day Matilda and get lots of lovely presents.
Until next time, bye bye.

Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday dear Grandma,
Happy birthday to you.
As you might have guessed, it’s Grandma’s birthday today. It’s a special birthday today but I can’t say how old she is because I can’t count that high yet! I can only count to ten so don’t feel bad Grandma.
I’m really excited because I get to see Grandma and Granddad in two weeks time and we are all going up to France to do things with their boat. I’m looking forward to that.
So again, happy birthday and until next time, bye bye.

I know that I turned 18 months some weeks ago and I know that my doctor’s visit was last week but hey, better late than never!
My visit to the doctor took it’s usual turn. I had injections and I cried screamed throughout.
The doctor asked Mummy lots of questions about my development to which Mummy was able to reply in the positive (or more often “Yes, in two languages”). The doctor pronounced me to be “perfect”. I could have told her that over the phone! I also display signs of intelligence. One question was “am I able to express my dissatisfaction or disapproval?”. To which the reply is “Yes, in two languages”! This apparently is a sign of intelligence.
For the record, I now weigh 13.25kgs (29.2 lbs) and am 87.5cms (2′ 10″) tall.
I don’t have to go for another check-up until I’m 2.
Changing the subject:
I’m really enjoying going to school every morning. My teacher says that I’m a lovely boy and a pleasure to have around. Today was someone’s birthday and so we had cake. I like cake!
One good thing about school is that I can bring lots on new things home and share them with Mummy and Daddy. They are called germs. My nose hasn’t stopped running since I started and at the moment I have a nice cough that I’ve shared with Daddy. Mummy has the makings of a sore throat that might develop into something good soon.
Until next time, bye bye.

Just to let you know that I had a great time at Mormor’s birthday party and was a very good boy in front of my future in-laws (whom I called Tilly Farfar and Tilly Farmor).
I dressed up in a white shirt that Mummy had decorated with Danish flags and birthday greetings. In the photo you can see part of the design and the fact that I had a runny nose. Sorry about the hands. There’s always one!
Until next time, bye bye.

Today is Mormor’s birthday so tillykke med fødselsdagen (that’s happy birthday for you non bi-lingualists) Mormor! Elsker Dig.
I’m really excited about this evening and a little nervous. Mormor is having a birthday party and I love parties. I can dress up in my smart clothes and play with all of the guests but I’m nervous because my future grandparents-in-law are going to be there so I have to be on my best behaviour!
I’ll let you know how I got on.
Until next time, bye bye.
